INFORMATION Masses of fiery red flower spikes on short, strong stems. Early flowering on compact plants with dark green foliage. Good branching habit.

Flowering time: early summer - autumn.

Height: 25cm (10in).

Plant in sun or part shade in moderately fertile, well-drained soil 30cm apart. Feed monthly with a liquid fertiliser.
PLANTING The planting area should be prepared well beforehand working in any necessary compost or fertiliser.

Water plants well before planting out and afterwards if the soil is dry.

Remove plants from container by pushing through from the underside of the pack.

Remove dead flower heads to promote continued flowering.
